With a cotton or silk cloth I wrap the targeted area of your body—your shoulder, your hip, your knees, your elbows. The wrap along with mindful movements is firm yet yielding, a supportive embrace that creates a "sacred container." This container does two things: it gives your nervous system a clear signal of safety, allowing the new, fluid patterns to settle into your nervous system and connective tissue, and it brings your awareness directly to the fascial network beneath your skin.
By applying subtle, wave-like traction guided by the fabric, the movement rhythmic allows an organic response to your breath cycle. On your exhale, a gentle, sustained pull encourages the fascial tissues to unwind. On your inhale, the pressure stabilizes, allowing your body to absorb the new space without resistance. Wrapping naturally as the muscles wrap around the bones.
